An Applecross sunset & climb

A fantastic sunset over the Skye Cuillin this evening on the way over the Bealach na Ba at Applecross. Had an interesting meeting with the community whom we are currently working with as part of a large project with the Applecross Trust.  Interesting to see how the work is developing.

Took the chance afterwards to walk into the back of Beinn Eighe where we set up a bivouac and then the next day climbed the famous Central Buttress (Hamilton’s Route) with our overnight kit.

Interesting and sad to see the remains of the Wellington bomber still below the cliff many decades after it crashed into it.  Climb went well, albeit the weather was pretty cold.

But what a view from the top belay!
