Peat grip blocking method trial

  Our programme of damming moorland grips on blanket mire has continued through January on our damming trial site in Lanarkshire. The project is well under way with many of the trial areas now dammed using our new faster method. This project has recently been featured on the IUCN UK Peatland Programme website.

Montane peatland experiment – latest

Just back from taking down all our experimental equipment from the trial site we helped established in the Monadhliath mountains, before the snow comes. An interesting project, which to date has yielded some really fascinating insights into the hydrology and surface processes at work on a high altitude eroding peat flat. Native woodland establishment – Black Grouse – Argyll

We were back on a windfarm site in Argyll this week checking some aspects of site condition out in advance of undertaking some treatment work for bog restoration.
